Internship Summary
We are offering an internship opportunity for a Content Curator to help manage and grow the Umbea Updates Facebook page. The intern will gain hands-on experience in digital media, content creation, and online community management while working with a fast-growing platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, research, and curate trending stories, videos, and images suitable for the Umbea Updates audience.
- Draft creative captions and engaging posts in line with current trends.
- Publish content daily and schedule posts using Meta tools.
- Monitor reach, engagement, and audience growth.
- Interact with followers through comments, polls, and discussions.
- Ensure all posts comply with Facebook monetization and community guidelines.
Requirements
- Passion for social media, content creation, and storytelling.
- Strong writing skills (English and Kiswahili preferred).
- Creativity in crafting engaging posts.
- Basic knowledge of Facebook trends and audience engagement.
- Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, or video editing tools is an added advantage.
- Must be based in Rongai or able to work from Stimvak Arcade, Rongai.
